I cracked up when I read this.
It is impossible to discern that I was talking about distance from my location rather than the countdown.
I... did not notice that.

Ugh, yeah, I participated in an ARG for Bioshock 2 (Something in the Sea was its name, tons of fun, really memorable) and there was a portion of it where puzzles were put in different cities and someone called dibs on getting it.
One of those people was part of a blog group completely separate from the main discussion forum and when they got their hands on the content, they teased us with its release for a good few days so their blog would keep getting traffic.

Also a bit disappointed that Philly fell out of the lead, but... oh well! Seeing what's in the packages is what really matters anyway, but I was planning to go for it had Philly stayed in the lead.

Actually, the team i was in was the team that found the dallas drop.
only reason I didnt take the icefly with me home to shreveport is because someone else actually nabbed the envelope that led to it.
I keapt the box the fly came in because, if it weren't for my mother and I, my laptop, and my phone, we wouldnt have found it. But, for a first time ARGer, i think I did great.
this time. I wont NEED a group :p make sure i got someone sitting on the web giving us updates and i'll be golden.
Not sure Houston's going to win tho...

I would be perfectly OK with Miami winning, so long as the drop occurs the second week of September. I will be in the area at that time.
Still...don't you people in heavily populated and metro areas have enough to do that you don't have to occupy your time with Internet games? Let us midwesterners have some fun once in a while!

Yeah, those numbers changed a bit since last night. Miami now has a strong lead wiht San Diego and Cincinnati trailing.
Leads me to believe it's anyone's game at this point.

I must be really crazy then because when they set up the dallas drop, it was a three hour drive from my home.
and now, if Houston wins, mom and I are planning on going. spending a night in town, and seeing a few other attractions while we're at it.
The four and a half hour drive doesn't really bother me. I take alot of trips and I enjoy being on the road. It'll be fun, I think
Btw, I'll be coming from SHREVEPORT Louisiana, so hows THAT for crazy! |
You had better make sure you're ON it. I thought about driving to Cincinnati from Columbus (hour or two drive), but realized that since I don't know that city all that well that it's likely someone else will get their first. I get that it's not the most optimistic outlook or anything, but gas is expensive and I'm a poor college student. Good luck Cincinnati folks!

I JUST got my profile updated so that it says my badge has been made, so I'll probably get my badge tomorrow. A little late for that, huh?
