Has it been discussed (I'm sure it has) whether or not the treasure is physically buried in the ground. And if not, what's stopping someone from randomly stumbling upon it?

Misc clues:
- The chest weighs 200lbs or something like that, so it must be near a road as the developers of the project don't expect you to be able to carry it.
- It is probably near a beach, buried by sand. This would fit with the whole pirate theme of the series, and sand is easy enough to dig up.
- It is probably not in a high traffic area like MSG or anywhere in Manhattan.
I think it is on Staten Island.

I almost forgot
My reasoning on why i think its one place you are looking for instead of multiple places is because in the comic book episode Black tom says
"to catch up to you is Destiny"
"when our paths are meant to be one"
Also another person asked if there was a big post office in NYC, well im assuming there is, but i can see on google maps that there is a post office across the street from the subway station i was talking about

Since Im all the way down here in North Carolina Its obvious Im never going to find this treasure, so I decided that instead of sitting on what im thinking Im going to put it out there and I hope one of you gets it,
I think you all have been going about this all wrong, you all are trying to find clues that point you to different places (like a scavenger hunt) when you should be looking for the clues that point you to the same place. I have a feeling there is an overabundance of clues in these videos. I have seen a number of people say they know where it is but then never come back on here to reveal that place to cross it off the list (of course I havnt read all 262 pages)
I believe its at Madison Square Garden
did you know theres a crows nest in MSG?
Also in the first video the name of the ship is Maddie Hayes
Did you know MSG is about 28 Furlongs (3.5 miles) from central park and im willing to bet its exactly 3.5 miles from the place where captain and tutty were sitting in the flashback he didnt use on mulligan.
If you were to place the compass that was revealed during the game on top of MSG and go to where the point shifts, it points straight to the subway station on 8th Avenue and penn station
and this where I get stuck, the 250 feet , the window sele and their heading south southeast mean something
if you go down into that subway station and travel south south east do you come to a ticket window (window sell?)
I just cant imagine the treasure is actually buried anywhere in NYC so thats why i think you have to go down there

The consensus is that Episode 4 should be watched between Episode 6 and 7. If you watch them all with that one reordering, Crothers' injuries should follow a logical progression.

Correct Episode Order
For the last hour I've tried to find the post(s) about the presumed correct order to watch the video clues. Going off the state of Crothers injuries it's clear that the videos are not in order. However, this forum is brutal to search and navigate.
Can anyone remind me? Like several others I'm trying to take in the big picture of the over arcing story after the remarks of the creators recently.

There is a spot we missed in which you use to get in there. Those stones are a dead give away and scream at ye. But its almost a loss, cuzz NYers have the edge, us washington people and oregon blokes stand no chance.
