Put me down for FOUR. That pin is money, and it doesn't even KNOW it.

This is good news for me. I can't believe I decided against taking one at the time. When they shipped out I figured I missed my chance.

I'll take one of each. You can ship them both (to Canada) at the same time in a few months when the next one is ready.
I'll PM you my details and make the payment whenever you need it. Thank you.

Down to 21 now!! and with your reservation...20! I've put you on the list for 1 of each and I'll contact you when shipping happen. Cheers. G

Holy Cow...I REALLY like...but your last pin was 16 including shipping right? Would this be around the same amount? Its alot for a pin...but...dang...I like this one, ALOT.

KK. I appreciate your comment. Price is always going to be an issue somewhere, but here's my take on the whole thing - sorry (in advance) for the long post...

It's Price vs Quantity vs Demand I'm afraid! If I was an eccentric millionaire with large ears, I'd be giving these away for free or as part of some elaborate puzzle spreading over various websites! But alas, this is not the case. I am eccentric, but I'm in no way a millionaire! I'm just a humble designer who only wants to make cool TRON stuff for himself and other fans, in his spare time. Very Happy

I asked for $19 in the end for a single pin including shipping. Shipping alone costs me just over $3 per package to US! And there's the cost of envelopes, card, paper & ink for the whole package and then there's gas used in multiple runs to the post office. It's surprising how quickly it mounts up.

I've also got to ask for a certain amount, per pin, to match the production and shipping costs, not knowing who will definitely want a pin. For example: I could have a run of 300 done, ask for $7 per pin plus shipping and only actually shift 20 units. This would only raise $140 minus shipping costs and other costs, and this would nowhere near cover the production costs. This wouldn't be an option and the thing definitely wouldn't happen. Like I said, this is not something I do for a living so the costs can't be absorbed.

I don't manufacture the pins, this is a service I use. I just design them.

Because I'm not producing them in volume, the unit price is higher but at least the project is viable. As with the last pin, I've posted a pic, I'll wait for interested parties to respond, and then assess how many need to be produced to meet demand.

I don't personally know what the living costs are out there in the US, but to give you all an insight: $19 is equivalent to £12 GBP over here. On a good day. This would buy you 4 Beers and possibly a pack of peanuts at the bar. £12 would also get you 2 Big Mac meals (before going large!). Alternatively it could buy you a cool, limited pin, made by a Fan for a Fan, delivered to your door from good old Blighty.

Ultimately the choice is yours, but at least the pin won't increase your cholesterol, won't kill your brain cells and will always be a part of you much longer than the former options! G

Oh, I totally understand how the costs can add up, I am in no way saying it isn't worth it for a custom pin (and a kick butt custom pin at that), just might be a bit more then my fun money allowance with other expenses I am obligated to. I'm assuming there will be at least a small time frame for me to be put on the list, correct? Right now, I'm a maybe...hopefully will be come a definitely.

There's always time, my friend! I don't expect the EOLC pin to be ready for at least 6 weeks. I am still shipping the odd Flynn's pin a few months down the line from my initial concept, though there are less than a quarter left! Contact me when you are ready. G

No worries about the Flynns Pins. I'll reserve you a couple with the intention of shipping them together with the EOLC pins(provided this project gets some wings!). There are 26 FLynn's Pins left. I'd prefer to see them go to Unfiction members before I start looking at the EBAY route!!

I've been interested in your other pins and the book, but I always backed out when I saw the price. And I thought the book was GREAT at a reasonable price, I just didn't pull the trigger.

For this pin, I WILL PULL THE TRIGGER. Let me know the price, and I'll paypal you right away. This pin is awesome (and I wasn't that impressed with the Flynn's pin LOL)!!

Thanks for keeping the tron spirit alive!!!!

I will always fight for the users, I just got a bit confused about the book you mentioned. I created a DIGITAL FRONTIER cover for all to download and print but don't have one for sale. Maybe you're confusing me with kevinericon. His book was sweet and the only reason I didn't buy one was that I needed a much 'fatter' book so I'm making my own.
