Glad someone else noticed it! Thats the shot really close to the train tracks right? If there is an approaching train, train tracks really do make that eerie noise. Great shot though...

You are correct! Go here:

I never knew this. And it is indeed a great shot. Many thanks.

("Production Value" Clip) and listen at about :36 after he says "I hope we don't miss it."
There is some very eerie noise / music that plays for a short time. The scene is looking at the station from the tracks.

Does anyone have any idea what this is? I remember hearing it in the movie as well.

The Soundtrack

I agree with you about the date
It is most likely because it is not a franchise and they want more people to see the fim before the soundtrack is out, giving them more of a chance to make it into the top abums sold. Giving it more recognition.
I really thought the soundtrack was one of the best part of the movie especially in the end, when two themes were combined to let the audience know what is about to come.

Good viewpoint. The next time is see the film, I'll try to catch what you pointed out.

The movie was epic, however, I feel the soundtrack, although good in it's own rite, was the film's weakest point. I will still pick one up.

For some reason, it's release is being delayed. This is very odd as most are released before the film.

Really? I thought Giacchino got it spot on.

It indeed fit the movie, but there was no memorable "theme" as was in Star Trek, Close Encounters, ET, ETC. at least what I heard @ 12:01 am June 10. I will still buy the CD.

BTW. If you visit the IMDB site for Captain America, you'll see the sound track is all laid out and is being released before the film. (as it should be). Why Super 8 has not released the sound track yet is puzzling. Any thoughts??

The Soundtrack

The local FYE music store says that the soundtrack for Super 8 will be released June 7. Maybe spoilers in the song titles and any pictures. This is very late for a sound track to come out. Best Buy can't even find a release date in their system as of today.

This movie will rock.
