The funny part is I have put a lot if my crazy eggs in the time travel basket and either the bunny being our ancestor or our future selves. Petri dish style In any case this game had A LOT of money put into it.. I had been waiting for it to come out for a few years but I do remember one particular wording " you may see it in other media" So brainchild fusion..no doubt.
|
Also about the clip hunt.. the news does keep saying lost style clip search, when I was ...uhh.. "looking" through paramount web..er..stuff There was a quote about it being a hunt for the clips on different media" Now was this a idea or the answer I don't know.
I have been looking through the websites that were linked on relativistic and looking for things on Fringe,, but I never partook in the lost experince so not sure what to really look for.
Ad's
hidden links
Engine1912 wording etc..
I guess someone could throw us a "FREAKIN BONE HERE" but that might be asking for too much...

| That's a really weird coincidence if you ask me (which you didn't but I'm going with it anyhoo). So much of it fits, the alien, the timeframe, Spielberg himself. Obviously our creature is going to be different, but I'm thinking this was half of the idea when JJ and Spielberg talked about doing it

To the rest:
If there is a website out there to unlock more clips, it's possible that changing the numbers on the end of the password could unlock new clips. We only have about a month and a half here in the US. Either we missed something or are going to get something like the first unlock site soon. My question now is, was that site put in the game to say "Hey, look, this is how you unlock it, find other sites"
I don't have time but a possible way of finding these sites (if they exist) would be using a google search with allintext: or inurl: For anyone that wants to try, here's a description on how to do it....

I'd still like to know how to find the password page in game. The coffee stain implies it is by the table at the start. Maybe it visible after the train crash. Unfortunately, I have the xbox version so I can't check.

I guess some one must have thought they unlocked it and when they reloaded the page it was up.

It sounds like ClipNa18J&BT^v69 was the password to clip 69 and not 1988:08 as was claimed on page 5 of this thread

Ding Dong the witch is dead...
Ok back on track. Pretty sure that's a Caboose Train Car image...
Also the code in that picture was discussed here on another forum (googled the code with v69 to find it)...
EDIT: WARNING there is a possible mega-spoiler involved with the link below, a person on that forum made a comment with links to something (and someone) that sounds far too similar. The link itself is not the possible spoiler, it would take a couple clicks to get there, but I'm covering it just for the sake of the ARG. I really hope it's just a coincidence!
EDIT 2: Upon further reading it doesn't sound like our movie, but Spielberg was working on it and I think it still should have a spoiler tag over just in case.

Found something else that I can't find anywhere else (points to the top right image). It's something in the graphic files of Portal 2. Was fishing using GCFScape, and came across this for clip 18 (I presume, which is currently unavailable). Not sure how to unlock it though, since an email I sent to unlockSPLATsuper-8.com was bounced back.

Looking at that top right photo, is there a car like that somewhere? with a cap on its roof? Maybe a ladder on the back? (looks like a little man climbing a ladder)
I dunno that code looks like v69 clip 69 would is not be?
I give up...

Nice find SkekTek.
The last link to unlock via the web was:
http://asc8.clip69.super8-movie.com/
I've tried changing clip69 to clip18, but no luck.
I guess the URL is different per clip.
Also the unlock email is unlock SPLATsuper8-movie.com, you just got it a little wrong.
