Got mine, and it exceeded my expectations in every way! That dumont packing is special. I want to keep the shippers notice and sticker, but I didnt want to keep the whole shipped envelope. I haven't decided if I am going to try and remove the dumont packing slip and sticker yet.

GREAT JOB ON THE NECKLACE! Great SURPRISE on the Dumont packing slip and sticker!

Got mine yesterday.

Amazing. Just amazing.

You went to the next level on the packaging with the packing list and shipping label. I bet your local post office was caught off guard and left them wondering who Dumont Shipping was.

Hats off also to the necklace designer too. Great job.

Lyoko is Cool
Who knows, maybe it's in my mailbox so I can get it tomorrow.

Knowing the mailroom though, I'll have to wait until Monday and the box will be lined with tons of permanent marker.

Didn't know there was going to be special packaging!! Steve, any chance of getting mine shipped that way instead of with the bits?

I got one and took the whole thing apart. It's held together with 12 screws and a butload of tape and the weight comes from a piece of metal held inside the body with double sided tape. Taking it apart didn't do good things to it. I would recommend buying the body kit for replacing the N8 body if you want to add electronics as it's already in parts and the display isn't blocked (The dummy display is a solid piece of plastic with a small round hole and six screws in it that the faux screen sticker sits on). All you would need to do is take the screws and the screen from the dummy and add them to the body and voila, one hollow shell ready for electronics.

"Taking it apart didn't do good things to it" tell me about it! i still cannot dislodge the lower case piece to remove the battery. this thing was easy to find the initial 4 screws—2 under the faux HDMI cover (requiring a #0 phillips), 2 T4 Torx (that a 1.4mm slotted screwdriver was able to open it). right now i'm at an impasse already leaving cosmetic marks from attempts.
if anyone wants to know what's under a real one, here's something i found:
http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Nokia-N8-Teardown/3641/1
as mentioned earlier, the HDMI doesn't open like that on the dummy an the 2 phillips are under that side which is one molded piece held on by double-sided tape.

The other screws are under the faux screen. Peel off the sticker display and they are under it.
