This may or may not have been mentioned here already, but I'm going to post it (in spoiler tags) anyway; but this does tie into the ARG:
| Spoiler (Rollover to View): |
| In the movie, when Sam finds the device used to enter Cyberspace, it shows that it had been active for eight days. Looking from the release date of the movie (December 17, 2010), what did we do in the ARG eight days before?

Did any of you guys see anything about Cillian Murphy playing baby Dillenger?
That kinda surprised me.

Yep, lots of linux-esque command prompting going on. I saw grep a few times I've always been amazed that hackers (in general film) seem to speak the same language. Not philosophically, but syntactically, hehe. Apparently every system runs on the same command set, at some level, even if the UI is completely custom designed |
Yup, ask users of KDE and Gnome. May look radically different, but at the end, it's all mostly just a bash-esque shell. Window managers change, but grep is grep.

nope, not the same door. just a nice nod to the original. the camera angle and opening you need to squeeze through (does it ever "open"? ) is strikingly similar

The reason I thought the big door was cool is because of what it wasn't!
The original 'Big Door' was shot on location at Lawrence Livermore labs. That door was truly truly huge. This door - while definitely big - was a hollywood facsimile.

There's more to see in the scenes where you are shown a realistic terminal. Some of it is just interesting detail, geek humor, and maybe even a clu(e) or two.

| In particular, I'd like a better look at what Ed Dillinger does on his terminal, and what Alan Bradley does following that.

Re: Big Door
Yeah, I thought it was 16, not 12. Those codes are too many digits. Probably the same for what Sam typed on Flynn's server, too. I'll bring paper for the midnight show and jot it down if there is one.

Big Door
From the Nokia Trailer, the code for the big door is:

[FILM] Things to look for in TRON:Legacy
Last night many of us went out and saw Tron Legacy, but there was one or two moments where what may be potential code popped up into view.
I know one of the ones was the "Big Door" Scene, If several people can keep track of just 1 segment of 3 digits of code, maybe we can get all of it *looked to be 12 digits. You see it at sort of an angle and only for half a second...
Another one was in a scene shortly after involving cracking a computer inside.
Anyone with photographic memory out there?
Not saying its going to be anything, but I was curious at how clear those shots of the cracking device was.
* added new [film] tag for Tron: Legacy film discussion -thebruce
