Perhaps this is my being grumpy and holiday funk talking but for those of us that cannot get to any of the physical locations... is there any point to this?
As it's been stated many times so far they are looking for a major presence online and offline for this event. So I suppose if you actually have any interest in this event still then yes.

Out of some kind of desperation, I just tried calling my own phone from the operative phone (hadn't done this before since I thought credit was limited and had no way to tell how much credit was available) - it comes up with a message on the screen saying "connecting to server", then nothing, no dial tone or anything. So I lock the phone. Then I get a call on the operative phone that, when I pick up, then calls the number I was trying to dial originally (my own phone).
I've never seen or heard of that happening before, anyone else know what that's about? At least now I know the number of the operative phone, and that it's capable of making and receiving calls...
Toronto here, I get the same connect to server, but no call back. Initially my phone had a UK charger.... I'm figuring that our phones were inadvertently sent to the wrong cities. I can't get a peep out of mine.

Don't forget getting called-on in a phone meeting and you have to stifle the impulse to say, "Not now! I'm saving the Cheerleader!" and at least try to sound like you were listening to the call.

This. Thankfully, my boss-person knows what I do outside work, and as long as I actually get work done, I have to try to give the impression of working to everyone else in the office doesn't help when your desk is right by the lunchroom

No if you're supposed to be working
Also, not when you actually have work responsibilities that override ARG responsibilities... like, say, full-company meetings that cause you to miss an entire events

Try using the 89 stickers as transdermal patches to help ween you off of the ARG?

There wasn't a in Person end game. The last in person game was the trailer hunt months before the release.
Not quite, there was the last event with the buildings in NY and Chicago being defaced by the Joker after CFB had lit up the bat signals on the side of each building earlier in the night at their mini-rallies. I believe the URL for KickingandScreening was found the same night, if I remember correctly, because I was watching a live stream of the event in Chicago when it all went down. Hope that's not the case with next Wednesday as I more than likely wont be a near a computer to nab a pass if I'm out in the field.
I'm assuming/hoping that Atlanta will be part of the event, and if it is, I will be on the ground and need some back up.
Essentially correct, except that this happened 72 hours after the initial lighting of the batsignal in Chicago and NYC, which was seen at the rallies. The website had the countdown timer going, and when it expired it showed the signals on their respective buildings getting defaced. At the same time, the majority of websites that were involved with the ARG were also defaced with puzzle pieces on them that led to kickingandscreening.
And, I just realized that I've been suckered into it again. When Why So Serious ended, there was major withdrawal. Now, history is about to repeat itself!

Yeah, these guys are pretty quick. Pages and pages in a few minutes, very hard to keep up sometimes.

Have major sites been doing more stories on Flynn Lives lately or something? Seems like a lot of new faces around here in the past few days.
FL is getting a good bit of word of mouth thanks to several sites following the ARG. That said, maybe some of the newer folk have been lurkers that have decided to actively take part since things are coming to an end *sniffle*
That was it for me. I have been lurking since February, but did not see a reason to post.
I only just found out about this site within the past couple months. And I'd been interested in the ARG long ago, but I was out of the country and in the midst of moving, so it slipped my mind. Besides, I feared that it would be just like the Tron 2.0 ARG that was completely abandoned halfway through. Then over a year later I looked again and realized, "Wow. This is still going?!"
As far as contributions go though, heck, these puzzles are solved before I even know there's been an update.

Wouldn't be the first time. They did it with gridlock rendezvous. One package per city, one achievement code per city. So, in short: You're wrong.
