A bit late, but I'm signed up as Avatrix. Will be trying my best to follow from work, though looks like it'll be a busy day here.

I'm curious as to when this Evolution is supposed to take place, whether it's today or later.

Yes, again, I know this.
Nonetheless, the phone died, and rebooted fine. I haven't tried iTunes again yet. |
Glad it booted up ok, good luck with iTunes!

I don't have an iPad yet, but once I do, this'll be the first thing I play on it!

Flynn Lives friends on TRON Legacy iPhone app
I am not sure why the devs coded it this way, but my unfiction screen name was too long for the iPhone app.
Feel free to add me as MCtFlynn (as in MudCatTheFlynn).
Using the unfiction screen names of those of you participating in this thread, I have added a whole slew of Flynn Lives folks. Here is the definitive list that i have:
- billhouse
- hayvock
- lysithea
- nwintn
- wiser
- bleullama
- broklynite
- calebh2010
- elziard
- filmedge
- fsurobbie
- madopal
- sk16
- soundwarp
- tk42one
Please let me know if I stepped on any toes, and I will remove your name from this list, and from my in-game Friends list. My apologies in advance.
Does anyone know if the adding of friends is a two-way process? In other words, do you also have me added to your list when I add you to mine?

It's like pulling the plug on a desktop computer, while the sleep/hold button and slide-to-turn-off is shutting down from within the OS. I've had a similar problem where my iPod Touch wasn't responding to anything, and had to use the hard reset. |
Yeah, that's what I was talking about but he said he did it to no avail... |
He seemed to indicate that he thought you were talking about the normal shutdown method.

That's the hold-top-button-down-and-slide-to-turn-off process. This is after that. No button response. This 'thinking' screen typically lasts seconds before the phone is shut off. It's now been in that screen for hours.
Apple: Put a hard power off button or switch on your phones! Or at least a disconnectable battery. |
Have you tried holding down the power and home button at the same time? If you hold both down 10+ seconds it should shutdown completely and do a hard reboot without needing to slide. Sorry if you've already tried this... |
That is the hold-button(s)-down-then-slide-to-turn-off process. This is after that. No functionality. Just the animated icon. This is the 'everything else is done, your phone will be completely shut off in a matter of seconds' screen, which has been going for hours. The phone is now completely non-functional save the animated icon, and will remain so until the battery dies.

Lesson: Backup your phone before you do anything you're technically not supposed to do.
I just hate that backing up takes forever. |

My friends have confirmed that you can check in on the App once you are at the convention center! It uses facebook integration, as well.

Wowza, that's awful man! So the iPhone wont let you do a hard reboot? |
