Here is the webcam for the sign in Times Square. It is an electronic billboard (Reuters) where images and ads change every few minutes. The ad for the Treasure Hunt was probably up just briefly as part of the Pirate Captain's advertising package with PR Newswire. It may have been just a one time event. Or perhaps it shows up at a certain time for a limited number of days.

Just checked out the site, and read all possible info regarding this ARG. Very interesting idea; hats off to whoever is sponsoring this. Cool I'm in too!

But, i'm facing two problems.
1. I don't live in NYC. Not even in North America. So, would love to team up with anyone living in NYC.
2. I too cannot access the Facebook page. When I click the link, I'm redirected to my Home Feed. Why is this happening???

I'm in the city now, but, sadly, I have dropped my laptop and cracked the screen. I am going by the billboard tomorrow morning if I can't make it tonight, and I will come back and post from another internet cafe. I don't know if I will be able to get a photo uploaded or not, but I will definitely check it out before noon tomorrow.

Heya, KingLeigh, & welcome to uF. The direct link in the source also redirects to my FB Home feed. Possibly some IP locations have been generically blocked? Dunno

It's a bit of a GRRR cuz that motley crew makes me laff. *crossing fingers* the episodes will be viewable here. And TY, Rose, for checking it for me.
