It feels like it's been ages since I least heard their pervasive effervescence. A guarded hand of truce indeed. We shall arrive with open arms, but not forgetting true nonchalance.

New dispatch concerning Jejune's Socio-Reengineering Seminar:
http://www.elsewherepublicworks.com/dispatches/FurtherDispatches10.mp3
so i guess this is the EPWA putting out a guarded hand of truce with the JI? We'll see how this plays out.

Awesome! And this may be an excuse to finally purchase the LBBON, since I wanted one anyways.
Wait, I just had a thought: the tiny, tiny letters that we received at the Curiosity Shoppe from the WSPS (from Peggy to Eva) has a stamp on it. Perhaps I should bring my letter? Perhaps we all should?
Maybe I'm just crazy. |
Maybe you're brilliant!
Also for the sake of organization, we should probably start a new thread on the Elsewhere Philatelic Society since we're talking it up now.
Also also, going back to the Further Dispatch: I just realized that the 15th will mark one whole year from when most of us mentioned in that dispatch were called to a secretive location to be inducted into the EPWA, and given a map with which to lead all those gathered for the Action two weeks later. (For new folks: the Action: http://ornithopterjumpsuit.com/action/) Hmm.

You should absolutely come to the meet-up, stamps or no. Don't let that stop you. (And yes, oftentimes the Little I-don't-think-it's-ever-been-a-box often has Elsewhere stamps on it, as it gets mailed from Elsewhere to the WSPS forwarding service, and the WSPS-FS mails it to you. So you get two sets of stamps, technically, when that happens.)

Okay, so this may be a silly question: the podcast says that if you have a Little Box Of Nonchalance, you "may already be a member." I never purchased one of those -- does it come with stamps?

i don't think he thinks we've 'crossed over'. he says we're missing in action, possibly lost our way, or even fallen subject to jejune influences. it seems to be a sort of wake-up call for us for this coming spring. i think things are afoot and he want to make sure we're still paying attention.
i can't wait

"into the ether..."
Do you suppose he's talking about how all of you have...crossed over, so to speak?
That's the way I took it.
As far as I know, C14 knows about Elsewhere, but hasn't...been there....

whaaat? how does he call that dropping off the grid? i've been telling everyone i can get my grubbing eye hooks on about the jejune institute and how they need to stay away from it. i know for a fact there are a few people at my school planning not to go this week. i even gave them an EPWA flier. what more shall i do? i'd be putting more stickers out there too but the last LBBoNC i got didn't have primarily microwave harassment stickers like i requested. i guess i gotta do this stamp collecting meet up over at the rincon center.
http://stampsfromelsewhere.com/
elsewhere philatelic society
first monday of every month at 5:30.
so next meet up is therefore may 3rd.
take note that there's a post office there
also i wonder why an EPWA location is in a former jejune institute subsidiary facility? is the foundation defunct or did it move?

We don't need to wait for official word from the EPWA to make anything happen, as you know.

Ha, you were not foolin' there Jason, he DID Namecheck us.
Shame really, I really didn't think they were READY for us to do something more, hopefully this monthly meet up will help stir some interest back into everything.
ERGO! I think we need to do something to pick this all back up...
I think a new discussion is in order.

Is he name-checking us? He's OH FERSHNICKENS HE IS CALLING US OUT.
Also, stamps. Dig it.
Update: 14, if this is about the Dungeons and Dragons game I'm trying to set up with Drybones, you can come too, sheesh. Just ask. But you have to bring Audrey and Kelvin, that's the deal.
