It's so great to hear from you! I am glad you're doing OK, even though this economy does indeed suck.
I am now on the East coast, so maybe it won't be so long before I see you again!

Aw, don't be lonely! I'm only like 4+ hours away.
...
maybe that isn't all that reassuring, but whatever!
Is this a NYC meetup? Because I might actually be able to come, in that case

Wow, sorry to hear of your difficulties. Hope everything continues to work out well for you Good to know you're settling in though.
If I was anywhere within a decent distance, I'd so come visit and help out

the new paltz -nyc connection i
i've missed you guys
hey lovelies!!!
Long story short: I lost, through no fault of my own, but due to the economy, about 2/3 of my grossly overpaid income. However, living in manhattan and sending my son to private school basically left me with not enough resources to continue in the city. So we moved upstate to New Paltz, which is beautiful and has access to the city easily enough.
I've had so much going one with moving and trying to unpack and, as usual, deal with my beloved but head-strong son.
Mostly I wanted to take a minute to check in, remind you that I love you all and that I hope to be in touch more soon.
Also, sifaka is going to help set up a get together. I'm in the city a couple of days of the week, working on different projects and still trying to get my own firm going. But I hope we can meet in the city soon!!!
Moving is difficult and I get lonely here. But I know that I have my unfiction friends to support me, so that helps alot. And, I've already started a garden (my first rule for moving somewhere new is to start a garden, you would be surprised how well that works out.)
So...ideas for times and places to meet will be helpful. The fall foilage here is great and if anyone happens up this way they can contact me. But, as mentioned, the apartment is full of boxes!
I hope this makes sense, I'm not entirely sober at the moment, But I
wanted to check in while i could.
