Well that depends. The complete puzzle doesn't leave room for anything except maybe a folded up piece of paper. Having said that, once you open the puzzle there are some parts that you could remove that would allow you to hide something like a ring to be placed inside. BUT it would make it much easier to open. Not that easy because you could still engage the lock mechanism and you would go through the general motions to solve, just not sure if the lock would stay engaged though general playing around. I'd have to try it and see. Once you get it opened this might make more sense.

Good luck!

Hello everyone,

I would like to know how much volume you can put into the ISIS..Is there any place for a small object - folded paper, jewelry?
Or is the locking mechanism using all the place?

I am considering the ISIS to hide my fiance's ring until the right time...
And I would be very disappointed to find the ring dosen't fit...

Thanks for putting this up, as well.

Did you remember to replace the 3rd bb when you opened it your second time?

Maybe you didn't actually release the 3rd bb and just think you did.

Resetting the Isis
Symbol Line-Up

When I reset my Isis (have done it many times) I can never get the symbols to match up initially(!!!!). Once I have hit the base, the two do symbols do line up, but the Isis is not completely closed.
I have to semi-resolve the puzzle to allow the ball to be closed on it's thread.

Do not worry if your symbols done line up, they will after.

If it locks before it's fully closed, you must resolve the puzzle to manipulate the thread again.

Hope this helps.

other method

If its stuck out of line and you cant get the third ball bearing into your maze then there is a way to open it without using it. This might be how you have to re open it, check its back together correct and start to re assemble it again.

If you type "Bypassing the magnet on your Isis Puzzle" into youtube you can see a video, although i had to do this on mine and had to repeat the process every half turn, so its not as easy as the video makes out.

pm me if you need any more help.

isis might be broken or im an idiot.
i think i broke it. ooops.

yeah so i opened it like ten times. but the last time i was putting it back together the plate loked while i was screing it back on. its like about a quater of the way scred on. the two placentas are alligend. i tried doing the motions to unlcok it but it wont work. for some reason the third ball bearing wont come down into the hole. maybe i put the maze in backwards? but i dont think i did. i can hear the two rolling around. the plunger works. but i cant get that ball in the dam maze. what should i do. i dont want to send it in. any way i can fix it. or am i just an idiot and cant solve my isis agin?

OK, you DO NOT have to turn it both ways. If you are looking at the top of it, turn it clockwise.

someone said that u should hold down the plunger, turn it upside down till u dont hear anything. then turn it back and while still holding the plunger down unscrew it.

Yes that is the correct procedure.

isis puzzle
Got stuck somewhere

So i got this isis, and i have solved the clues and when i tried to open it i turned it and it got stuck with the placentas a few cm apart right. like others have said. so i smacked it a few times for the hell of it and turned it yesterday were the two halves started to sperate. but then it keeps locking. now in the clues it says turn clockwise to unopen but reading some of these post people say u got to turn both ways? and someone said that u should hold down the plunger, turn it upside down till u dont hear anything. then turn it back and while still holding the plunger down unscrew it? idk guys. i know it ain broken but what is the best way to open my isis from my point that im at. smack it. or plunger it.

Steve, why don't you just leave if you disagree with us?
Instead of trolling this forum, you could advance on your Isis - or participate in ARGs. That way you could gain some positive reputation, don't you think?

Sorry mate, I have to blame my crappy digital camera for that picture. My Isis is actually silver and gun-metal, just like the rest. Although I do remember SonicWarp offering special edition Isis' in various colors, and one or more of them had gold rings and/or a gold sphere. However, they were a bit more expensive than the regular Isis. I'd reccomend you try Ebay.

Hope this helps.
