What if we buy a hoodie (black if it ever comes out) then donate another $70 to total the $100 minimum for weekly sponsorship? Does that count?
Yes I'm cheap
ETA: They have a black hoodie now. or was it always there. Maybe the drugs haven't wore off yet. Anyways. kudos to you UF Admins. Awesome!!

It's possible to remain anonymous - just write that in the comment box when you make the donation. Also, according to this,
the announcement box is used to give special thanks to people who donate $100.
I don't know the answer to your second question.

Two questions
I know this is a very old forum, but I wanted to know two things. First, is it possible to be a donor and yet remain anonymous--in other words, not be announced as a weekly sponsor? Some of us are kind of shy about that kind of thing.
Is there a minimum amount that is effective? For example, I have a piece of shareware for iTunes that I decided that I liked enough that I wanted to donate to it, even though my funds are pretty limited and I have sometimes used shareware without paying the fee, and the author of the software said that anything under $10 would basically get eaten up in handling costs. Is this true for unforum? And if so, then what amount WOULD help? This is another case of "I like this place enough that I want it to remain," and I might not be able to come up with one big cash payment, but I might be able to contribute periodically, when the odd sum off money comes in from nowhere.
And if this information is somewhere I haven't looked, please let me know, and I'll go look there. And maybe the amount could be updated every year so that we all know that if we don't have the minimum cash right now, we should save up for a couple of months.
Just a thought.

Brilliant! Next time can we do a sponsored head-shaving? I'll sit in beans too if you like.
Although I was convinced that you should be able to run two Unforums and a yacht from the proceeds of "Tales from the Third Planet" is it not selling as well as it has in PXC? |
Thanks to the authors of that fine book, I did receive $38 dollars from Mind Candy a month or two ago. |

When the chaffing subsides and ScarpeGrosse gets back on the pole can you post where she will be appearing?
Unfortunately I missed all of her previous performances, but I hear they were quite good.

As of 5:07 p.m. (Pacific), we've reached our goal, pushed over the top by the lovely Aliendial! Thank you so much to everyone who made this possible! Your contributions will keep uF running strong into 2007!
Thanks again, on behalf of the entire uF staff! Give yourselves a hand!
Of course, this doesn't mean you can't still donate if you didn't yet get a chance and want to help out. The expenses never stop!
