| LolaoftheUnknown |
Well the nickname started, when one day I was on msn messenger and used the name "Lola" as a joke. Everyone liked it and the next day everyone was calling me "Lola".
And I added "oftheunknown" because I spent many years lurking around the forum and at some times posted as "unknown" and I like being from the unknown..
Oh, and the avatar I don't have one because I don't know how to put it up.. also I need one that suits the name, anyone wanna make one?
Thanks for reading..!

Add one to the "Boring" column.
My nickname is the name of a character in Dan Simmons' "Hyperion" novels. I really (really) enjoyed those books, and the name looks kinda cool, and sounds nice. [/yawn]
My avatar is part of a painting (and a sculpture) by H.R. Giger entitled: "the Birth Machine" (it's the same guy who designed "Alien"). I like that painting a lot. I have it on my wall, and I have that character tattooed on my left arm. [/double yawn]

My name is the title of one of my favorite jokes, which unfortunately only seems to be funny if told in person (even then, 9 out of 10 give me a blank stare). I'll tell it at the next ARGFest I promise!

AY AY AY ARRRRRRRRRRRRIBA!!!!
Here I am...rock you like a hurricane...
My middle name is Robert, which can be changed to Rob and bastardized to BOB. Whenever there was another person with my name around, I would tell people to call me Bob. For my usernames and such I wanted to spice it up by making it Bobbo (pronounced Bob-oh, NOT Boh-boh or Boob-oh). The "King" just came naturally.
The avatar (at time of posting) is a drawing I made while in Italy. Just a little doodle of a hobo.

So did I! |
Now I'm definitely making that my new avatar. Remove some confusion.

Does adopting an avatar because you bought the T-shirt count? Or is it only if you had the T-shirt specially made to sport your avatar? If it's the former, it's 3 (see here for some sort of evidence, courtesy of PuzzledPineapple.

You obviously weren't at ARGfest-o-con 06. On the first night I wore a shirt with Cy on it so that everyone would be able to recognize me |
/me demands photographic evidence! You can't name-drop ARGfest and then fail to give evidence of the T-shirt! |
Had to find a picture from the first night, but here you go.

| argtater |
since im reading in the 'other' section i thought i'd post, even though i'm not known yet here. another boring story for a name and avatar...
avatar: honestly i don't know where i got it from. someone's open flickr page or some random website somewhere (maybe thanks to stumbleupon?) but its just the kind of thing that struck me. i like it, and that's enough for me.
boring right? well here's more
im sure you can guess that "arg" is an obvious reference. this simply dictates for me that any account with that in front is an arg name for me (yahoo, aim, whatever, if it's got an 'arg' its an arg account for me - of course in this day and age, i'd like to keep ME personal)
tater, i'm sorry to admit to you potato loving fans, has nothing to do with your favorite fried product. long, long ago i started calling my best friend, who's name is Stephanie, Steph...then Step, then Tep. She decided that since her new name started with a 't', mine should too. and thus, Tate was born. then Tater. Then Tatertot, of course. most of the online world can find me as tatertot13 (13 is my luck number) or smtatertot13 (sm=stage manager - i'm a theatrical stage manager among other things). when i re-found arg's and wanted to leap right in (but keep my "normal" life out) it seemed easy to just tag everything with arg. and thus, the new tater was born...
told you it was boring
