Take it or leave it, there's really no proof I can provide over an internet forum.
Would you rather me photochop something together to look more convincing?

ah, coo. Well, apparently in that thread someone was able to get the official word that the website won't be updated (and operators simply do not know) with the status of claimed coins until all the coins have been found.
So unless you know visually that someone has found a coin (or heard previously from an operator that a coin was found), we really don't know if they're found or not. So it's time to drive and check and hope. *sigh*
ETA: thread in question is here. Also note that Clue #10 of the virtual was corrected.
That was me. I called at 5 a.m. this morning and that's the information they gave me. Later I called the 1-888-drpeppe number to ask them why they can't update the information sooner on their website. I explained to them the dilemma that several of us are facing. Do we drive 4 plus hours to look for a coin that's not placed or do we drive 4 plus hours to look for a coin that might have been found even though it might not yet be placed! What an ugly scenario. LOL! She completely understood, but promised nothing.
On a side note, one of the ATT token finders just witnessed the coin from Oklahoma City being found at the fair grounds. It appeared to have just been dropped in a flower bed. I guess the "hider" couldn't take the time to really hide the coin - too many seekers looking perhaps?!

Okay. This is now officially crazy.
I get home from the hunt. Get some breakfast in me, and some loonies post about 'duct tape under a bench'
I proceed to get back to my area, and have the most -revolting- experience of my life. I put my hands under every park bench in the area.
In the melted snow and mud.
Halfway through, I was begging to find duct tape, or even the sticky remants of duct tape. I did find:
Dirt
Fungus
Gum
Wig Hair
Slime.
At this point, I hope it's already been found. This is exhausting. I'm now on my seventh trip through this muck in 4 days.
Any confirmation on 'victorious' cities aside from SanFran?

www.tweleve.org
The other treasure site is www.tweleve.org. It was a site created for the Treasure's Trove treasure hunt, and there are many experienced treasure hunters there who are looking for Dr. Pepper coins.
Of course, you must always be cautious when believing what you read on the 'net.....
What I would really like is for people to post photographic evidence of a coin in hand. Even then, it might not be real, I guess, but we need something to tell us to stop-- getting up at 4:00AM to search is driving me nuts!

San Fran coin
Catherwood,
Can you confirm that the duct tape was taped under a slatted park bench at the Dutch Windmill?? Taped carefully in such a way as to be impossible to see through the slats? If so, that goes far to confirm San Fran is found. Someone at another forum also posted that they saw another person find the coin in such a location....
I know that confirming might be "giving something away" but we hunters in other cities would like to know that at least SOMEONE is finding coins, so we don't feel like we are wasting all our time for coins that don't yet exist.

Hey everyone. OTher treasure hunting sites are reporting rather credibly that the San Fran token has been found. More credible than..."stop looking, yo, I found one."
So, at least one physical coin has been found, it appears.
My partner and I found some used duct tape stuck in the area we're certain was the hidey place for San Francisco. That probably means we were too late and that someone did beat us to our coin. After tonight's midnight clue is released, that will confirm for us that we did look in the correct spot. It kills me to think that I did look in that exact spot for the past two days, but perhaps the coin had not yet been planted there. Oh well, back to working for a living.

plus, it's iffy trusting random people saying 'stop looking, I found it'... for obvious reasons.
I'd keep looking until there's official confirmation from DrP on any of the coins -- If there is to be any at all before end-game...
It would be nice to know which are found. They'd better get cracking and get the list up!
