Hello,

It seems there is a new message on europeangoldfinch.net :
Quote:
As some of you may have noticed, the dates on the site have been a little wonky. I’m still trying to get this whole website stuff down and so far have been unable to fix this. However, a young woman from down the street came by today and was gracious enough to spend some time with me helping get things back on track. I’ll be making some other additions to the site (with her help!) in the coming weeks. Also, I’ve noticed a lot more traffic on the site and am thrilled that all of you are stopping by! Who knew there were so many EGF fans throughout the world!

Maybe it is to make us have a better look to dates that are strange... Note that this message is from 06/01 while in Fish 40 post, we have 6/4. If we have a Month/Year convention, it could mean something will happen in 3 days.

Also there is now a young woman we need to identify. Maybe the main character of a new ARG ? Wink

I liked also the part about the huge trafic Very Happy

Edited to put info in spoiler tag, in case anyone else doesn't want to know the answer, like I did and didn't get a chance to avoid Evil or Very Mad

Determining Phone Number
We can probably figure it out!

Since we have the dots already, we can probably figure out what the rest of the message (and therefore the next phone number) will be. The remaining dots are:

2 3 1 3 3 1 2 1

The first 2 numbers are probably for the letters E and L, which would complete the word "HOTEL." Makes sense. If he's giving Sara the name of a hotel, this could be difficult, because it could be pretty much anything. It could be next to impossible for us to figure out. However, we do know what letters we can choose from, because we know they have to be one of the first letters on the keypad, then one of the third letters, etc., etc. So we have these letters to pick from, one from each row in order:

A D G J M P T W
C F I L O R V Y
C F I L O R V Y
A D G J M P T W
B E H K N Q U X
A D G J M P T W

There are only so many words that can be made this way. I kind of like the fact that the word "VODKA" can be spelled with the last 5 rows ("Bolshoi" is the Russian ballet; Bolshoi Booze would be Vodka! Smile ). But that leaves an extra letter at the beginning, so I'm not sure that works. If "Avodka" could be someone's last name, I guess that could work!

Okay, so that leaves us with only 8 digits in the last phone number, when it should be 10. The last two digits will probably be a date for them to meet--maybe the date listed for "Bolshoi Booze" on the europeangoldfinch.net website?

I think the phone number will definitely be 35X-XXX-XX64. We just need to figure out the name of the hotel, if it's even possible to figure out!

My only question is why is the date so late? Wasn't it winter when they broke out? At least, I thought it was winter towards the end of the last season. I'm not sure why it would suddenly be June. Or maybe those aren't dates on the goldfinch website? Ideas, anyone??

Sigh, no new number tonight.

But not before grabbing the last origami swan that was sent to by the individual that got me into this mess in the first place. Because, mmmm...Wentworth Very Happy.

Next Phone Number
I know what the next phone number will be!

Using the dots given on the first origami bird, and the method of decoding the phone numbers, I've worked out what the next phone number will be. Does anyone want to know? Obviously, this has some minor spoilers about what will happen, probably at the end of the season. I'll list it here if anyone's interested.

Maybe she'll try the t9(progressive text) text on her cell, a cell is all she seems to use...?

Also, I never noticed before but on that the map I posted of the coordinates ...look at the National Park's name just north of the star.[/sub]

wiki

I've created a wiki for keeping track of the messages/codes in Prison Break because I constantly found myself flicking between too many different forums/blogs Smile

You can find it at http://finch.pbwiki.com

If you want to contribute then the password you'll need to enter is "bolshoi"

If we keep all these ideas/theories in one place then it'll be a lot easier to solve them before the series does it for us Smile

Well, life style choices notwithstanding, she's not a complete idiot. She did make it through medical school. And the fact that Michael is sending her multiple swans with different out of service numbers has to clue her in on them being something other than just phone numbers. The cipher certainly isnt that hard, and even listening to the radio could give her a clue as to what it is (you know those commericals that go "Call 1800-ILIKEFERRETS or 1800-455-3377"). I won't be surprised if she manages to figure it out at some point. But I do agree that given enough info, Kellerman will figure it out quickly.

I also seriously doubt that. Although she could get to the solution by accident.

I think we should all hope that the detective doesn't catch any of that, because he WILL decode it for sure...

By the way, I can't get on fox.eprize.net which can be found in the *.js...is that the American Express Exclusive Preview thing?

Wow, I can't quite believe that Prison Break is hopping on the ARG-lite bandwagon!

The europeangoldfinch.net stuff is verrrry reminiscent of retrieversoftruth board in the LOST game.

And I guess we're supposed to believe that Sara is into cyphers and such enough to crack that code?

Seems ARGs are the new thing for TV show fad-vertising.

First ReGenesis and Push, then the onslaught of Alias, Kyle XY, Ocular Effect, Lost, and a couple in N&R (including the likes of Veronica Mars and Jericho.) Looks like we have a new trend.

This show's smart enough to warrant an ARG/Timewaster, and hopefully they figure out a good way to do it.

EDIT: Also, because I don't want to double post, wouldn't the two capital B's be the equivalents of 8? If they wanted us to equate the B's with 9's, they probably would have kept them lower cased.

EDITTED EDIT: Indeed, the image is of lowercase b's, my mistake. Though next time they shouldnt confuse people like that, what with the capital letter B's in the European Gold Finch and all.

Yeah me too...

If you look at the Bolshoi Booze tat upside down, the numbers are:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
32009 1045709

Add a couple of decimals:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
And you have coordinates.
This looks the closest as the other ways left me in the middle of the ocean and China. Wink

32.009 -104.5709

It's very close to the Mexico border, I don't think it has anything to do with the rendezvous with Sarah, as it's a different layer of the onion that goes like this.

Michael mentions website > forum posting at website by FISH40 mentions Bolshoi Booze > Bolshoi Booze tat upside down is 32009 1045709 > convert to coords to get location.
