I thought I had it, but then I lost it.

| I was looking at moon cycles, seeing if this was the order in which they'd complete their cycles, but I don't see where to go next.

It must be something to do with the order of the numbers on the card as they seem a little out of sequence. You'd normally number top to bottom, but the numbers are out of sequence as you look up the card. I've tried connecting them with relevence to the sudoku, but all I keep coming up with is what looks like a conductors baton movement (but I know nothing about music)

Thanks for checking - I haven't looked at this much more today. Still too frustrated - I had foolishly hoped that solving the sudoku and unravelling which of the 16 bold numbers should go with which of the 16 anagrams would leave me knowing what to do next - but alas - no!

I can confirm that your spreadsheet is correct as far as i can tell, though numbers I used were different so it was hard to tell. Makes no difference though.

The 16 is in the correct place, it is "DATA SEAR" encoded. You need to ignore the numbers on the card until the sudoku is solved.

I've been working on the sudoku idea and have managed to solve the sudoku - i think. But this rather depends on whether I have typed it in right in the first place so if someone wants to check then please do so and let me know if there are any errors. It's in an excel file that I've attached.
Assuming that the solution to the sudoku is correct I can't see what to do next - obviously it involves the bold numbers on the card. Any ideas? |
I think you have some mistakes in your soduko. In the top row, in the far-right box shouldn't 16 be first number not the second? Or am I confused as all hell?

I don't have this card yet, but I would like to point out that the guest puzzle architect is well-known on this forum. (Sorry, no points for guessing his name. ) Having participated in his puzzle trails in the past, I think you will have a lot of fun and a fair bit of challenge in solving this card.

I think what might be needed is anagramming the first/other letters of the answers whether in mixed up form or plain.
