Lion Flag

I just solved this card (only just started playing Perplex City!) but I have one question though.
What is the flag with the two gold lions in the corner of the St George England flag? |
| Spoiler (Rollover to View): |
It is the "Flag of Sark": "Sark's flag is the personal standard of the Seigneur who gave permission for the island to use it for the Island Games. It has been the island flag ever since."
It took me a while to find that one...

Solution Grid
Hi,
Just for the sake of completeness, I thought I would mention that in my solution to this card the question reads forwards, like normal text. It's still the same question but I thought people might be interested to know that you don't have to read it backwards.
Here's my solution grid, written with the grid of flags held upright in front of you, starting with Wales in the top left corner:
| Spoiler (Rollover to View): |
W O E I D
H U S S G
I N F S R
C T L O E
H R A L E
C I G I N
|
As you can see, if you read it from top to bottom, left to right it spells out the question normally, not backwards.
Well, that's my 2c worth.

I know this card has been solved but I found these sites really useful for anyone who has a rubbish knowledge of flags (like me!) and is still struggling, but doesn't want to be given the answer!
http://www.flags.av.org/flags/
and
http://www.37.co.yu/fi/
both are flag identifiers that make the process alot easier!

Also, although in no way related to the solve of this particular card, another typo on it is the title - "Vexillogy". The correct spelling is, as far as the online dictionaries which I've looked at, "Vexillology"

green flag
Hmm... it turns out that an Egyptian kingdom *had* a "
solid green flag with three white stars and a crescent - the stars symbolizing the three "Peoples of the Book" who composed Egypt's population, while the green stood for the nationalist movement, the Hajj and the fertility of the Nile. Then, in 1958, that flag was replaced by that of the United Arab Republic - a banner in the tradition of the Arab Liberation Flag."
So I guess the United Arab Republic's flag *was* green at a point.

tejas
The First Republic of Texas had a solid green flag, although not a country.

Dont forget that words used out of context can be grammatical errors such as "was" in place of "is". this would then make sense.
if there are older flags say the persian flag this could then make sense for the last line.

I'd just like to point out this card is worth 43 points. Compare that to something like WordSpy (19 points), which still hasn't been solved and is looking to be a tough one, already with a second layer found (wordspy website and top 100 word list).
That makes this at least twice as hard as WordSpy, and that's only if the points scale relates linearly to difficulty. There must be a lot, lot more to this card.

I wonder if this palindrome thing is some sort of an inside joke - one of the recruitment questions in the original Project Syzygy was "what is aibohphobia?"
