I forgot to give you fair warning -- NaNoWriMo is starting up again!
When we started this thread, the site had ways to form private groups. That feature no longer exists, but they did expand the size of the buddy list. Let's partner up!
(Camp NaNo in August was very good to me, meaning that I fear that this November is going to be terrible for me, just as it has been for the past 3 years.)

Camp NaNoWriMo in August
looking for cabin-mates
Hello, writers! November is the month for the traditional NaNoWriMo, with write-ins and social events. August is the month for
Camp
NaNoWriMo
which takes place entirely online. They still send out weekly pep talks and have the tools for you to track your progress. They have forums, too, but what makes this special is that you can be put into smaller "cabins" to have writing partners to chat with.
Is anyone going to give this a try? I'm signed in but have not yet been assigned to a cabin. I might just let them randomly pair me up with people in my age group, but they do have a way to request specific members to be in the same cabin.
Look for me!

I haven't done NaNo in years, I think I got a bit lazy or college took up most of my time. I'd love to get back into it.

2011 NaNoWriMo coming soon
www.nanowrimo.org
Let's get ready to rrrrrWRITE!
Yes, I know, it's still more than two weeks away, but I thought I should bump the thread and nudge people who need nudging (you know who you are!)
Also letting you know that the site was migrated to a new database, which means you may need to reset your profiles. All of the links in this thread are also probably going to be broken; I know the URLs to profiles have all changed at the very least.
As always, #nanowrimo will be available on our usual IRC server for companionship.

The Core
I noticed this a day late, but I'm going to try it. It's gonna be my first attempt too, so here's hoping
Time to try catch up!

I'm doing Nano too! It'll probably kill me, but it's going to be so much fun!! I'm a member on the ywp.nano-site for those younger than seventeen (I'm fifteen). But if you're a member there (I don't think you can add between the two sites) feel free to add me as buddie

November 2010 draws nigh
Do you know where your plot outlines are?
bumping as a reminder that we're drawing close to November.
not sure why we put this in TimeWasters ;)
also, the group created on the NaNoWriMo website last year has gone away, we would need to create another if we thought it would get used

Nighthawk
I didn't have the time to get past chapter 3.
Considering I spent three weeks in unemployment, I guess I can't be blamed for other priorities...

JaeDom, I never knew what your NaNo account name was, so I couldn't track your progress. Still, 2000 words is better than a few of our lot did. Here's some stats from the top range -- I won't embarass the people who dropped out early.
22,234 catherwood
28,728 DavFlamerock
35,969 Andrhia
39,014 IneffaBelle
39,752 chixor1
50,052

And a good time was had by all!
