[quote="tybeck"]I can add some information and confirm one fact. [spoiler] A hexagon means "block" as in a city block. And there is a caboose with a mailbox here: http://wikimapia.org/10610134/The-Caboose-at-555-De-Haro-Street with an other clue inside. A model building with a "D. Henry" sign and a code on the roof which I think translates as "4 blocks north." I don't have the orientation of the hobo code in my head yet, but I figured it was north or east. I tried various permutations today, walking around, but no dice today. The closest I could get was a "Henry Hall" 4 blocks north of de Haro and 18th, but didn't see anything that clued me into EPS activity. I could not pull the model out of the box to see if there was anything additional and did't want to use excessive force. I do hope I just overlooked something on my excursion. I'm not quite sure that this is the right place, but seeing as how the EPS'
tweeted about it
, and included a photograph of a postcard addressed to Ethel Allen I don't think it would hurt.
Has anyone else followed up on the website it mentioned?

You can also explore the hexnodes and look or Jimmy. Both are active right now.

the front page has an application you need to download and print out along with some "Stamps" you need to download to an mp3 player and a transcript of those stamps you can download as well.
hope that helps! happy philately!
Excellent, thanks! I saw that, but couldn't tell if that was the start point or something further into the game.

Where to start?
Hello there! I hate to thread-jack, but since there's no proper forum for this EPS thing, this is the only option.
Where does a new person start? Is it even plausible to start at this point? It looks like it's been going on for a bit already since the start point was in May. I'm hesitant to read through this thread for more information as I don't want to stumble onto any spoilers.
I unfortunately only moved to SF spring of last year and missed out on Jejune, but would love something similar like EPS.
Any help?
Thanks!
-Sean

Wow! I highly recommend that people take the time and participate in the search for Jimmy. While challenging, it is also quite rewarding.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
And while you are at it, do plan on spending plenty of time getting to know D Henry. He has a wealth of information that will help you on your search!

I haven't seen this mentioned but I can't go any farther today because something is not open on Sundays ...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You want to go four blocks east. You'll find D Henry in the same place on the real building as it is on the model. Pop on in and have a good long look at it, the shopkeepers don't mind.

can you place a marker on google maps where this was found? i think these are directions.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
looking at this:
http://stampsfromelsewhere.com/updates/updates.html
I'm pretty sure that
[ ]..[ ]
...[ ]
means south.
the squares are numbers. steps? donno what the hexagon means though. then you have a trolly and a mailbox at the end which i can only guess are physical clues for something like that around the area.
so as it stands the message looks to be:
1 hexagon north
4 hexagon east
1 hexagon north
trolly car
mailbox

Hmm... looks like the metal code was related after all. Sadly cyptology is not a strength of mine. (I'd post the photo here, but don't know how to apply a spoiler shield to it.)

I went also, found some signs, stumbled through bushes and found nothing.

Missing!
I stopped by yesterday and followed a few signs, before the rain chased me away. Did anyone find anything of interest?
(I did also find what looked like a code made out of metal shapes, but was unsure if it was related...)
