heyry I don't post much anymore. It's hard for me to post. I'm sure some of you don't mind. Lol. Anyway, hers the scoop. Looks like we will probably see an 89 pin at the disney stores. Also, looks like the pin guys have the achievement badges sitting on their desk as a pin suggestion as well. as of yesterday, the "3D geometric shapes" were at the toy studio. These guys are the same guys that make the world of warcraft figures. Not the little figures, the big 12" figures. looking for a couple more interested parties before I give them the green light. I've been told these babies are gonna be sweet.
For all those following this and not getting emails, the stand bases are near complete. they need the riser holes drilled and then sent off to the polisher.
Still waiting on grid inlays to be made.
On a side note, I decided to revisit HelloFlynn.com. I know previously there was a discussion about the about of time Kevin had spent as a prisoner of the grid. I came by a document titled: time.theory.compare.notes
Quote:
Notes: When the mind preocesses a thought, its synapses flutter at fantastic speeds. But, when we quantify electrical impulses, those speeds are over 1000 greater - so, if life could exist in a pure digital form, that organism would experience 1,000 years for every one year of our time on earth. When I work on my special project, its as if time stands still in the "real world." Sam's grandparents can sit with him while I toil for what seems like a week, but when I return, they barely notice I've gone. The process should be guilt-free... so, why do I feel so torn? I feel like I'm living two lives, but my fatherly duties will always win out over my ersatz role as a mad scientist.

Any updates? My mom keeps asking me, "Where are those things you spent $100 on? Those discs, bits, things?" And I have to explain to her that they're bits from Tron and how huge they're gonna be lol. I need to give her some info lol

It's a much darker blue before paint. I wish we knew where these were printed and just called and asked them to "reprint" them!
the problem with that is two-fold. first, they wouldn't be actual zero hour bits, second, it would still be expensive.
not to mention a lot of work for the no bit.

I've got the official word on the bits and the neutral was the only one painted. the printer uses plastic wire, melts it and lays it into the specified pattern. the wire comes in generic colors. light blue isn't one of them.

My "yes" isn't painted. (At least it doesn't seem to be.) But it definitely has the rigid lines from the printing. What did yours set you back, if you don't mind me asking. Still can't believe the deal retrogamer got on that "no" he won a while back.
EDIT: Nevermind. Found it on ePay. OUCH!! All for the cause, though.

They're kinda ridged right? I think that's because of the prototype printer they used to make these.
Painted? no way!

Did they send that to you today?
If by "THEY" you mean 42 Entertainment, then the answer is no. If you mean the seller that just put a huge hole in my wallet, I hope so...
