OK, so here I go. A few days ago, I bought a used copy of Assassins Creed for my Xbox. It played well and I was having fun. Eventually I shut off the system and went to bed. When I woke up the next morning, I payed for a total of 5 minutes before I was instructed to clean the disk. Knowing this was a used game, I thought nothing of it and cleaned the game. 5 minutes later, the same thing happened, so I looked at the disk, a few small scratches from wear and tear, so I fixed them, and the SAME FREAKING MESSAGE popped up. I must have cleaned that disk about 15+ times and it still didn't work. Today, I cleaned the WHOLE system out, laser, disk drive and all. I even bought a brand new copy of Assassins Creed. I think you can guess what happened. I get told to clean the disk. So, I am wondering, are there any other reports of this happening? And if so, is there a way to fix it?
(Granted, in the last link the person is pretty sure what the problem is, but they're getting the same error message)
But that probably doesn't help much, because a lot of them say doing a variety of things works (installing to HD, simple ejecting and putting back in, xbox is dying so get a new one/send for repairs, etc.)
I've never had the problem, so I can't help from experience. Do other games play alright?
Yeah, we figured out the problem, our dog got to the console while it was on and nudged it. So thanks
Note to self: Keep Xbox hooked DOWN when dog is in the room

Xbox 360 problems.
Disk is dirty? I don't think so!
I get told to clean the disk.
So, I am wondering, are there any other reports of this happening? And if so, is there a way to fix it?
