Page 112 of Vespers Rising.
"Releasing the shuttlecock, he placed his finger on the trigger"
Shuttlecock is the name of the birdie you hit in badminton.
I think they meant wheellock, a mechanism for firing a firearm.

I'm completely confused about what this means.

The typewritten letter from Churchill on page 102 of The Viper's Nest is dated 1900, but uses a proportional font.
Proportional font was common for typesetting books and newspapers, but I'm pretty sure that typewriters didn't start using proportional font until the 1960's. (IBM Selectric for one)
Im not gonna even pretend to understand that, but I think we can forgive them for things like that, because i really doubt there onna look up 'fonts for 1900'
Well, and I may be stupid here, someone might have created the font and not have told anyone. (I told, I might be crazy)

The revamped Mission 0 lists Christopher Columbus as a Tomas. That makes him the earliest famous Cahill on record, born in 1451

However, Gideon's house burnt down in 1507, while Columbus died in 1506.
Either it's a discrepancy, or Columbus befriended Thomas Cahill before the fire.
The page has been updated. Columbus is no longer a Cahill (at least he isn't documented on that page).
I'm sure if he had been a Cahill, he would have made a great Tomas.
Don't feel bad, Tomas agents. You still have the two earliest documented Cahills : Philip II of Spain & Toyotomi Hideyoshi

Re: More Possible Mistakes in Book 3

On page 120, I think there are two discrepancies/mistakes.
The first one is:
Quote:
"Thank you, Mr. and
Mrs
Kabra," Dan said, looking closely at the parchment.
To my knowledge, Natalie is not married so it should be Miss Kabra, not Mrs.
Second one:
Quote:
He (Dan) placed the map gently on the ground and pulled a small Swiss Army knife from his pocket.
I was wondering where Dan got the Swiss Army knife when its not mentioned in any of the books.
For the first: Dan is being sarcastic -- It's Ian and Amy he is calling Mr and Mrs. Kabra
For the second: We know he lost his backpack, but we don't know if he had anything in his pockets, though why he didn't have the picture of his parents in his pocket -- who knows.
Lost Information / Mistakes:
Dan Cahill -- Top Secret -- There are no surveillance pictures like before. I think they messed up when they listed Beacon Hill as a place Dan has been. I think the books will send us back to Boston and Beacon Hill in Book 10.

Card 429 is "The Frozen Road"
The image on the card says it's a "Secret" but the graphics around it say it's a Location. (It sorts by Location)
My guess is they got the image wrong.

1/2 gm M K.C.
In
Beyond the Grave
, Amy & Dan see the message
1/2 gm M
K.C.
and assume that means 1/2 gram as a message from Katherine Cahill.
If Katherine was alive in 1507, when Gideon's house burnt down, then she was long dead before the French Revolution and the origins of the metric system.
In 1795, the French defined the gramme as the weight of a cubic centimeter of water, and a 'grave' as 1000 grams.
The term 'grave' was replaced by the term kilogram by 1799.
(Giving new meaning to the title
Beyond the Grave
)
I'd expect Katherine to use either the English or Apothecaries' system of pound, ounce, grain.

Chernobyl disaster
On
26 April 1986
at 01:23:45 a.m. (UTC+3) reactor number four at the Chernobyl plant, near Pripyat in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, exploded. Further explosions and the resulting fire sent a plume of highly radioactive fallout into the atmosphere and over an extensive geographical area. Four hundred times more fallout was released than had been by the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.[1]
I even remember this incident happening.
I remember it too. I was 6 years old, lived in Stockholm in Sweden, I remember they told me I couldn't pick blueberries and eat them anymore beacuse of an accident they could be dangerous to eat. It was even worse in the northern part of Sweden. Scary year, this is the same year when our prime minister was murdered! I rememeber that too.
