The term Banana expresses the line -- sometimes sharp and distinct, sometimes soft and fuzzy -- between that which a thing is, and that which it is not. And further reflects on the penchant for extension of that which a thing is to that which it is not.
The classification of mathematical problems as 'linear' and 'nonlinear' is like classification of the Universe as bananas and non-bananas.

In the singular, to keep it from being mixed up with "It's bananas!"?
Like, that weird angle squiggle by that Benjamin Stove guy? It's totally banana!

Not to be confused with:
"It's bananas"
This could (arguably) be translated as
"crazy" or "not part of my experience of this reality"

Banana
Definition: When something revealed in game is exactly what is says, and nothing more. No hidden messages, no second layer, no clue to the future. Just plain fact. Ba-na-na.
As typified by
this
post.
