Well, that's true, but if you believe their commercials, Sam Adams started out as a microbrew anyway, so we can both be right

Amen to that!

raises a bottle of Keegan Hurricane Kitty ale.
Mind you, there is one good mass-produced American beer - Samuel Adams. I particularly like their Boston and Winter Lagers.

I feel morally obliged here to defend American beer. Unfortunately, I can't -- not the mass-produced crap beer, anyway. The real glory of American beer is the plethora of microbrews, many of which are quite tasty.

two quick questions,
1. anyone compared the actual beer to the poem to look for missing words/clues? any findings?
2. there is a little blip on my card, under the word 'then' on the black border. i tried to line up the border and see if any of the letters touched by the straight line formed any words/clues, but i am new to perplexcity, and didn't see anything that registered as significant. perhaps a more seasoned player might be able to shead some light?

I assume you've all heard the joke about American beers and making love in a canoe
(Please don't read if you are under 16 or have a sensitive disposition)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
they're both effing close to water
PS: Mods, I've tried to make it "clean".

Budweiser has a curious taste of fizzy water and mould.

I assume from your spoiler you got the answer as
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Rolling Rock, although I always thought it was OK, for a US beer
Not a patch on Newcastle Brown Ale though, I agree.

The genius comedian, Demetri Martin, once took all the words from a bottle of beer and rearranged them into a poem. His work is above. Your task is to read it and them figure out from which brand of beer they sprang.
