Just to add to the debate about the second line:
"Men rage if I be lost by theft"
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I was thinking of the traditional punishment for theft under Sharia Law. Amputation of the right hand would be enough to make most rage...

Didn't anyone notice the ARROW pointing at the word "THEFT", as in CUBE????

coat of arms on card #089
i hve been trying to see if the small coat of arms (i have no experience in this field, but i beleve it is a coat of arms rather than a crest) has a name attached, but with no luck.
perhaps someone else might be more successful.
so far, the blazon i have come up with is silver argent, with a barry of three pale , Rampant lion counter coloured. (i think it its the rh lion, but its a small image and hard to tell)
((the blazon is a code for describing arms and crests and such, so don't worry if the above makes no sense!))
anyway, very possibly reading too much into it, but worth a poke if anyone has an interest in heraldy and such...

Only just got this card today (hey, I'm a newbie...) but I've noticed that the spaces before and after the 'I' on line 2 are wider than the rest of the text. I know Seej has already tried uv and that didn't show anything, but it seems odd. The 'I' itself looks like it could be part of the word 'right' (as in, the right-hand part of the letter g and the left-hand side of the h, although these wouldn't quite match the others in the text). This would make the line read "Men rage if right be lost by theft", which seems to fit, although the word would be slightly higher than the rest of the line.
Anyone else think the r in rage looks slightly suspicious too?
Lordy, one day in and I'm getting paranoid...

After entering the solve I can confirm the answer is:

right

Just a note to anyone who has a signed copy of this card from Firebox and still hasn't submitted the pencilled number/letter to contribute to the code - could you please post the digit at the top of the card and your position/100 to
this thread
so that we can try to solve the sudoku puzzle that we think it forms. Also, please check that your digit is on the
wiki page
- even if you did post it it may have been missed.
We need as many digits as we can get to eliminate the many possible solutions we are faced with at the moment and get one unique solution. If you don't know what digit I'm talking about there's some photos in that thread.

Just going back a couple of pages - donīt know if everyone has this card now, but someone posted that the figure on it was the 8 of spades, when in fact it is the 8 of clubs. Probably not important as we don't know what the cards signify but just putting the record straight.

Dachsund Trout Sandwich
Forever foe to what is wrong,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Dachsund Trout Sandwich
Men rage it I be lost by theft;
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Dachsund Trout Sandwich
I am what justice works to bring,

Dachsund Trout Sandwich
All have you have when nothings left.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Dachsund Trout Sandwich
It just has to be. Either that or the answer must be "Mornington Crescent".

Re: [Puzzle] #089 -Yellow- Forever Foe
how about
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
innocence?
Forever foe to what is wrong,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
innocence is always good
Men rage it I be lost by theft;
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
when someone is robbed of their innocence through crime, people get pissed
I am what justice works to bring,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
justice works to restore innocence
All have you have when nothings left.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
when all of your culture and thoughts are gone, you are merely innocent
I know that it isn't the solution, but it fits them all.

i think we can almost be sure that it is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
right
but the second line seems a bit dodgy in relation to that answer.
Saying this, the top, third and bottom line seem to compare well with the answer.

interesting
ok so what we got --clockwise from top - two statues one of which carries the scales of justice -- cain and able(birthright theft) - a crest of some sort -- another crest - set of scales at the bottom - something i cant make out in bottom left - and then up to bird that looks like a turkey
hmmmm -- if someone has the card they might let me know the bits i cant make out
but im stll sure the solution is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
right

Strange as it may seem I've been figuring out what a turkey has to do with any of it.
Some of the pictures make sense but that bird or whatever on the top left just seems out of place to me. Not saying that there is a deeper meaning to it all. Just a comment really.

There's something weird about this card, the ink doesn't reflect in the same way to all the others...
It looks the same to me. Compared it to a few other cards and didn't notice any difference. I'm gonna go stick all my cards under a UV light tomorrow so maybe that'll show something up but for now I just don't see what you mean.
EDIT:
Nothing shows up when this card is put under UV or when it's frozen. More on possible ways to hide data
here

to lose the right to something or if someone stole your right seems a very good reason to rage
