Ambiguous card wording, eh?? I suppose 'shortest possible route' might just mean 'without repeating any checkpoint twice' (not sure if that's easy to do, actually...), so 'B,E,C,A,F,D' would then be appropriate, even if it's not the shortest *possible* route if we ignore some of the checkpoints... While we're at it, is there a specific drawing that the maze is inspired by? I figured it was very like an Escher print that I'd once seen, but I can't remember which one... And, again, we have a string of letters for answer which doesn't seem to yield very much...
Hmmm
Observed that though it says 20 points (mentioned above i know) it accepts solves for 30 points. You also get it doubled with the rest of the set for the extra 120 as well, so maybe it was just a misprint.
I also have a pre release 0.5 card and there IS a map piece on the back.

Mind Candy said that all the promotional cards (the ones they give away) don't have the maps on the back. This was to give the player who hadn't seen anything of Perplex City more info as to what it was, while also not just giving them an entirely blue back!

Just to say, that

works on the site as the answer

edit: also, just noticed, I've got 2 copies of this, one with a map piece on the back, and one with the instructions on the back (like the red and oranges)... That's odd...

Now we know: you do indeed get 30 points when you solve this one, in spite of the fact it shows 20. They did the honorable thing.

Bahamoth,
I noticed the point disparity too. I have two copies of this card, and they both say 20 points.
For all the other cards I've seen, you can compute the point value as:
Card# / 4, rounded up to the next whole number
That would give 30 points for card #120.
Could it just be a mistake? I wonder if the online leaderboard system will award 30 points or 20 points for this one.

Anyone noticed that the points awarded for this card doesn't seem to fit the normal pattern?
It says, on my card at least, 20 points, with the whole set given 120 points. The card SHOULD be worth 30 points. Has anyone got a card where it IS 30 points?

Just a little [SPEC] here, but a hunch leads me to believe that "BCAFD" may be a musical reference or clue. Does anyone know of any composers whose signature may be such? I know Bach's was B, A, C, and I think it was B sharp (the German equivalent of an H, though it's been a while since I've heard this and I may be wrong).
Perhaps it fits together with other puzzle answers that have A-G letter answers.

Is it just me, or does the maze look like another Escher reference?

I was obviously much more tired than I thought when I first looked at the maze. I just looked at it again and it all makes complete sense. It's amazing what a good nights sleep can do the brain cells!
My answer to follow...
EDIT: BECAFD if all checkpoints are to be reached. BCAFD if the shortest route is the main aim.
